Kaavya Sheth

Chief Operating Officer

Kaavya Sheth is a freshman at Rutgers University. Driven by a desire to promote gender equity in STEM fields, Kaavya joined Girls for Algorithmic Justice in high school. She is excited to join GFAJ in creating change in STEM fields and to build a better for future for young women like herself pursuing STEM careers.

 

In high school, Kaavya was involved with numerous organizations and clubs relating to artificial intelligence and technology policy. During summer trips to India, she led workshops for young girls focused on women's empowerment and self-confidence. She hopes to translate these experiences into her work with GFAJ.

 

In her spare time, Kaavya enjoys dancing and performing Kathak, an Indian classical dance style. Her experience as a dancer has taught her valuable leadership skills that she implements into her work with GFAJ. Kaavya has been a leader at GFAJ since 2022 and has helped scale this organization from the ground up, including recruiting volunteers, ideating initiatives, and assisting in the organization overall. She is so excited to work with everyone and to continue to grow GFAJ to its fullest potential.
