Shreya Ramesh is a rising senior at Middleton High School in Middleton, Wisconsin with a profound passion for medicine and its evolving intersection with artificial intelligence. Demonstrating her commitment to this field, Shreya successfully conducted an AI in Medicine workshop through GFAJ, showcasing her deep interest in exploring AI's transformative impact on healthcare.

Shreya's academic and professional pursuits include research internships in the Department of Surgery and Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she gained valuable insights and experience in clinical research.

 

This hands-on experience has further fueled her ambition to integrate technological advancements into medical practice.​ In addition to her research endeavors, Shreya is excited to serve as the Chief Programs Officer at GFAJ, where she is responsible for expanding the organization’s programs and increasing its outreach. This marks her second year in a leadership role with GFAJ, and she is eager to contribute to its continued growth and success.

Outside of her academic and professional commitments, Shreya enjoys playing tennis, listening to music, and spending time with friends. With a keen enthusiasm for advancing medical innovation and a commitment to community service, Shreya is determined to make meaningful contributions to the field of medicine and beyond.
