Start a GFAJ Chapter
Why Start a GFAJ Chapter?
Starting a Girls for Algorithmic Justice (GFAJ) chapter allows you to be at the forefront of the fight for ethical AI and gender equity in your community. Whether you’re a high school or university student, a GFAJ chapter empowers you to bring awareness to AI harms, advocate for policy change, and build a local community committed to justice.
Benefits of Starting a Chapter:
-
Lead a Movement: Be a voice for ethical AI in your community and drive real impact.
-
Collaborate with Experts & Organizations: Connect with AI researchers, policymakers, and advocacy groups.
-
Develop Leadership Skills: Organize events, lead discussions, and mobilize change in your school or city.
-
Join a Global Network: Be part of a network of youth activists dedicated to fighting AI-driven gender injustices.

GFAJ Collegiate Chapters
If you are a college student interested in founding a Girls for Algorithmic Justice chapter, please note that at the collegiate level, GFAJ chapters operate under the name Women for Algorithmic Justice. This distinction reflects the leadership, advocacy, and expertise of university students dedicated to advancing gender equity in AI. While collegiate chapters function under a different name, they remain an integral part of the GFAJ organizational network, working collaboratively to combat AI-driven gender discrimination and advocate for ethical AI policies.
